Oilseeds

Oilseeds are seeds or fruits of annual oil-crops and mostly used for cookery and industrial oils.

All commonly known oilseeds such as soybeans, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, rapeseeds and sesame seeds are used as source of oil. After extraction of the oil, it is used as a valuable source of protein, especially for animal feeding stuffs, like in oilseed cake or press cake.
